Straumur offers a Magento 2 extension to integrate our payment solutions with your Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce store. With a simple setup, you can process transactions securely, offering a seamless payment experience to your customers.

Requirements​

  • Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce 2.4.7 or newer (tested against 2.4.8).
  • A PHP configuration that meets Magento's own platform requirements.

What the extension does​

  • Hosted redirect checkout: the shopper is sent to Straumur's Hosted Checkout and returned to Magento afterwards.
  • Headless embedded checkout: PWAs and custom storefronts can embed the Straumur web component without routing the shopper back through Magento.
  • Orders are finalised from Straumur webhooks confirming authorization, capture and refunds — not from the shopper's return.

Setup​

  1. Add the module to your Magento project and enable it:

    bin/magento module:enable Straumur_Payment
    bin/magento setup:upgrade
    bin/magento setup:di:compile
    bin/magento cache:flush

  2. Enter the API key and Terminal Identifier from the Merchant Portal in the extension configuration. See API Keys.

  3. Register the extension's webhook endpoint in the Merchant Portal. See Webhook configuration.

  4. Test with the test cards before going live.
